College students are twice as likely to abuse prescription stimulants compared to their peers who are not in college. One of the most common reasons given by students for abuse of prescription stimulants is to improve academic success. The purpose of this presentation is to share results from a quantitative survey which was administered to 244 undergraduate students measuring stress management, time management, and overall perceptions and attitudes about prescription stimulant drug use among college students. In addition, implications for stimulant abuse prevention and drug education interventions will be presented.
